 Die Spargelsaison
endet an Johanni. Ein anders Sprichwort sagt: der Kirschen rot ist des
Spargel tot. Nun, tot ist er natürlich nicht, im Gegenteil jetzt wächst
der ungebremst. Diese "Auszeit", wie man heute im Neuhochdeutschen sagt,
braucht die Pflanze ganz einfach um Reserven für das nächste
Jahr zu sammeln.
 The asparagus season ends
at Johnn´s Day (24. June). An other saying goes: The cherry´s

for the nest year yield.
