 Unter den trockenen
Bedingungen in diesem Frühjahr ließ sich das Saatgut von Mais
und Rüben nicht immer so ablegen, daß es genügend Wasser
für die Keimung hatte. Darum liefen den meisten Rüben auf diesem
Acker erst auf, nach dem Mitte Mai ausreichend Niederschlage fielen.
 Under the dry conditions
of this spring, the corn and beet seed can´t always planted in a
way that it has enought water to germinate. Because of this, most of the
beets on this field sprout after an inch of rainfall in the middle of May.
