 Auch wenn man nur
die Kolben und nicht die ganze Pflanze drischt, so wird doch der Mähdrescher
stark belastet, vorallem weil das Erntegut härter zu dreschen und
feuchter ist. Maisdrescher müssen darum oft länger arbeiten da
sie sich nicht so gut verkaufen lassen.
 At threshing of corn, only
the cobs pass the combine and strain the threshing system more as grain
not least because of the more wet conditions. That´s why corn combines
must work longer - you can´t sell them easily.
