Parish fair   -   17. Oktober 2004   -   Kirchweih
Seit 1800 sowieso hat man in Bayern den allerwelts Kiada, oder hochdeutsch Kirchweih, am dritten Sonntag im Oktober.  In der Zeit als es noch nicht alle Tage viel zu viel gutes zum Essen gab, freute man sich auf diesen Tag mit einem reichlich gedeckten Tisch und auf die Kiachl. Aber auch im Bauernjahr ist er ein wichtiges Datum. Man sollte mit der Kartoffelernte fertig sein und der Kiata galt als ideales Datum für die Weizensaat. Die gefallenen Blätter im Bild erinnern, daß das Jahr unaufhaltsam seinen Lauf nimmt, aber daß auch noch einiges zu tun ist auf den Feldern.
Since 1800 any time we have in Bavaria the common parish fair on the third Sunday in October. At the time as we had not every day to mutch and good food, they look forward to this day with an amply laid table and doughnuts. Also in the farmers year it was an importand date. The potado should be digged and it was a considered and ideal date for seeding wheat. The falling leaves in the pictures remembers us that the years runs unstoppable and there is still mutch to do on the fields.
