 Die tiefgründigen
Böden des Gäubodens rund um Straubing sind eigentlich viel zu
schade um "nur" Getreide an zubauen. Neben Zuckerrüben und Kartoffeln
dehnt man den Anbau von Gemüse aus.
 Actualle, the profound
loess ground of the Danube plains around Straubing are too good to grow
"only" grain. Beside beets and potatots spread the growing of vegetabeles
like the salad in the picture.
