 Miscanthus, eine
Energiepflanze mit Zukunft, hat in gehächselten Zustand eine Raumgewicht
von 120 kg/m³ was ca. 50 Liter Heizöl entspricht. Will man das
enorme Energiepotential dieser Pflanze allgemein nutzbar machen, muß
man das Hächselgut verdichten. Aber eine Pelletierpresse braucht 60
kW und eine Brikettieranlage immerhin 20 kW bei einer Stundenleitung von

crop of the future have chopped about 200 pound per yard³ or about
10 gallon of heating oil. For a general use of this vast energy potential
the chopped yield must be compacted. But a pellet press needs 60 kW and
a briquette device needs still 20 kW for 1100 pound hourly. In the picture
