mir dieses Bild. Als blinder Passagier vom ehemaligen Jugoslavien kommend,
breitet sich der Maiswurzelbohrer entlag der Autobahn aus. Sein Schadpotential
ist so groß daß er in America auch der "Milliarden Dollar
Käfer" heißt. Er ist ein EU Quarantäneschädling und
wird staatlich bekämpft. Mit hochgestellter Kabine und breiter Spur
richtet diese italienische Caffini Spritze wenig Schaden im Mais an. Da
sie 15 ha pro Stunde schafft, stellt man das Wasser mit einem Güllefaß
bereit.

picture. As a stowaway from the former Yugoslavia, the Western corn root
worm have spread along the highway. His damage potential is so big, that
the Americans call him "the one billion Dollar bug". In the European Union
he is a quarantine varmint and he is controlled by the farm authority.
With high up cabin and broad track, this Italian Caffini sprayer don´t
damage the corn. He applicates about 30 acres a houre, so the water is
provided by a liquid manure tank.
